So I had an appt with my ob a week after my anatomy scan and he said that baby’s umbilical cord is off to the side which is called Velamentous insertion. Has anyone had this or heard of this!? My ob said that 2/3 drs said something, but my ob doesn’t think it’s that concerning and will do an ultrasound either at our next appointment or closer to 30 weeks. Our next appt I’ll be almost 27 weeks. When I google it, it says that whoever has it will need more monitoring and such especially during pregnancy and my sister kinda freaked me out saying I’ll probably need a c-section when I really don’t want that. Any advice??
