Do you agree with stores locking up condoms and personal lubricant?

Recently went to Walmart and needed to pick up a pack of condoms. I was surprised to find them behind locked glass with a sign that said “please see employee”. I looked around for about 10 minutes before I found an employee who proceeded to tell me he couldn’t unlock it because he was under 18. He said he’d find someone to unlock it for me. So he left and I waited, waited, and waited. No one came. I had to go back to work so I just left without them. It made me realize how many people were probably in this same position and were not able to purchase personal protection for themselves. I realize people steal them and that’s probably why they’re behind glass but at the same time I find it kind of unethical to lock up the only protection that may be accessible to some people (like teenagers who’s parents won’t allow them to be on oral birth control). What do you think of this?
