Old people 🙄

Im kind of tired of being told constantly by the elder generation that im spending to much on certain things and not researching enough, when their experience as at least a decade old.

"Thats to much for vet stuff, when we had spot it cost X"

"Well its been 15 years since spot died so I'm gonna say prices have changed."

"Thats too much to pay for a house. Offer x amount thats how much we paid for ours"

"Your house was bought 30 years ago and it was falling apart back then. We don't want a fixer upper. I don't mind some projects for aesthetics but I want it liveable."

"Thats too much to pay for travel, just don't do it weve not had a vacation in 40 years"

"Well okay thats good for you I guess, but after 6 years of marriage and my husband starting his career this year, we decided what we want to splurge on in our lives is finally traveling the world."

Seriously can old people just stop nitpicking my life. Im not a teenager. Im an almost 30 year old with a husband and a happy life. We pay our bills (and have for a long time) and don't ask for money or help all the time. We still come and visit regularly even though all u have to do is complain about our life choices because its what we thought u deserved as the people who raised us (different families doing the raising just both families do this).

We live within our means and are very conscious of money. I don't get it.
