Has anyone done the paid clinical research trials?

Has anyone done this for money? Most will say no but it popped up on my group on social media and I saw a lot of people who have done it. One women did it and was paid $15K.

In college I helped run a trial that we paid people for. In the field we were in if the amount was that large it is either gonna be potentially riddled with odd side effects or it is going to be very time intensive with a lot of parts. Most pay a few hundred bucks. If you do see one that says 15K asks pots of questions....ask ALL of the questions because that much is very very rare and kind of a red flag honestly lol. Itnis an easy way to make a couple hundred here or there though for smaller studies. Again this is just in my experience though from the side of working at one not doing one

I signed up for one when I was pregnant. The hospital was doing a study on elective 39 week inductions and offered a small discount in exchange for permission to use my medical records as part of the study. I ended up going into labor naturally at 38w5d so I no longer qualified.

I have a friend who participated in several clinical trials when he was in his early 20s and made friends with other people who were in the same trial and then they all moved around the country together participating in these trials 😅 it's a pretty wild story to hear him tell it lol. He made a fair chunk of change while doing it from what I understand.
