Miscarriage kit

My doctors office sent me home with a “miscarriage kit” said there was instructions for collection. I haven’t miscarried yet. It’s just incase I do. The instructions indicate that I have to go buy sterile saline and clean off all the tissue as it comes out of me and then sort it based on the photos in the instructions and then put in it the bottle for collection then bring it to my doctor? What the fuck? How insensitive and cruel could this be? It’s bad enough I have to see it come out but now I have to SORT IT??? Please tell me if this is crazy or if you’ve ever been through this. I’m freaking out.
