Do you think it’s possible for a man and a woman that are both attracted to each-other to be “just friends”? Without one of them developing feelings even if those feelings are never acted upon or spoken about?

I’ve known my current partner for over 20 years, apparently he’s always had feelings for me, but he never acted upon them, we didn’t get together until about a year and a half ago, I always thought he was attractive, but because of the age difference, he’s 58, and 43, but had he approached me when I was in my early 20s I would’ve looked at him like the creepy old man, most of my friends are men, whether they are people I’ve previously dated, or just friends in general, my best friend is a man, I’ve over 30 years, he’s very attractive, but we are family, I don’t look at him that way, it’s always just been easier to have men as friends than women because with women, it was competition or just crappy choices of friends I guess, drama, trying to steal your boyfriend, whatever other crap, it’s just always been easy to be friends with men. Let’s drama and bullshit that you have to deal with. People grow apart, when you have nothing in common anymore, when you’re the single friend and they are all married with kids. Kind of understandable. But I absolutely believe that men and women can be friends, but at the same token not everyone has good intentions, sometimes they are looking for a moment of weakness, or vulnerability to swoop in,￼￼ Etc. it’s one thing to be in the friend zone and look at somebody like they are in an object like a lamp, and have zero feelings for them, it’s another to make advances, etc.
