Should my baby be learning to sit up?

For some background, she's 3 months old and has never liked newborn toys. She was 8 weeks old when I put her in the jumperoo and I've noticed she seems ready to start learning how to sit up. I can sit her up with her boppy in her lap and she holds the position until she gets too tired to keep her head up. I'm just not sure if she's old enough to be learning that, yet. I just taught her how to roll the last 2 weeks. Any insight would be great, look forward to hearing from you ladies.

Oh my!! She’s a strong one and physically gifted if she’s already rolled also! I have to ask though, what’s the rush?? I wouldn’t want a mobile 4-5 month old! They get in enough pickles at 6-7 months and they have such a better understanding of their surroundings and many babies have a basic understanding of high frequency words (like “no” and “stop!”) at that age! You’ll have to watch her like a hawk or put her in a playpen for many more months than is typical if she’s an early crawler.
If you’re really gunning for early development and eager to guide and teach her, I recommend focusing on cognitive development over the physical. Work on increasing her awareness of surroundings and jump start language development and color/shape comprehension by holding up cards and objects and narrating to her.

If she needs to be propped up to sit on the floor,she’s not ready to sit. Short periods of time are fine, but the best thing you can do for her core strength is let her develop it through natural movement. My baby is 10 months old and is just starting to push herself to a seated position. There is a whole range of movement that comes before sitting on the floor unassisted (rolling both ways, army crawling, pushing up on hands and knees, swinging legs forward between arms, crawling, side leaning).

Nothing wrong with her getting ready in my opinion if you need to prop she's not ready tummy time is so important helps build back muscles for her to be ready to sit up without props but also all babys are different my son was rolling at 1month now he is almost 10 months and already taking steps

How did you get her to roll? My 8 weeks old just face plants during tummy time but he is super strong and holds his head up when we hold him.
