When is the best time to pump?

My baby is 4 months old and ebf. We tried several brands of formula but no luck - he vehemently rejects any other milk. He feeds every 3 hours during the day and every 4 hours during the night. He’ll start daycare soon. When do I pump? And how much?

Get a haakaa to put on the side you’re not feeding from. That will help build a freezer stash. And I used to pump after first morning feed and then before I went to bed at night.

I pumped as often as I would've nursed. So for me that was every 3 hours about 4-12oz was what I got each time I pumped. I didn't pump longer than half an hour on each side. The pump I used was a double one so I did both sides at the same time. I didn't go off of time as much as how my flow was. After pumping for awhile you realize when you don't have any more milk to give.
