We don’t expect parents to love only one child, so why do we expect people to love only one partner?

We don’t love only one color, food, friend, animal, child, sibling, parent. 
So why must we love only one partner?

i probably wouldn’t compare the love of a child or family members to the love of a sexual partner, kind of a weird comparison.

I was just talking to my mom about this. If you’re dating and having sex with one person. You make the choice to commit. When you commit and fall in love, you’re devoting your love to that one person. You typically spend your time with that one person. Family plan with that one person. Majority of us, can’t even entertain the idea of dating and having sex with another person. There is no time for it. If that’s not how you function, no biggie. Being poly isn’t a problem. Who cares what society says. 
And btw, people choose a favorite color. We can be attracted to other colors but that one specific color.. there’s nothing like it. A lot of animals are monogamous too.

You make the choice to commit to a partner for the long term. From this app alone it’s obvious people often do love more than one person. I do believe people can love more than one person at a time but commitment is the difference. People have polygamist relationships. Find someone who wants that if it’s what you’re looking for.

If you personally feel like you could love more than one person as a spouse/partner,  more power to you. Make sure you find like minded people though. Otherwise you're asking for heartache. For you and the people you love.

I have zero interest in having anymore than what I have partner wise, nor am I interested in sharing. My partner is mine. I don’t need more and I’m certainly not giving him away.
