How did you bath your new born?

2weeks here and our sinks are too tiny to fit the baby. I wonder if he can bath with his dad like he will hold the baby and we bath him?

Dad usually brings baby to me at the end of my shower, but we also have a baby bath that we bought for 20 bucks that we use more often now because she loves the bath

If you have a bathtub or walk in shower put a towel in the bathtub or shower floor, set baby on the towel on back and have some washcloths and a bucket to pour water over baby , have water running in the bucket and then use the washcloths to clean baby and keep them warm. That is how I do it with my 12 day old as I am afraid of dropping a slippery baby. I did same with my daughter until she could hold her head up and then a a baby bathtub was easy.

I gave my son showers with me. I would put him in his bouncer and bring it into the bathroom and always had an extra diaper and made sure he had a blanket on him and just a diaper and I would shower first and then take him out of his bouncer and wash him and then we’d both get out and I’d put his towel and diaper on and then put him back in the bouncer and then dry myself off.

My friend showered with her baby. They are so slippery and wiggly I’d be afraid to drop them. I’ve done it a couple of times but my baby was so huge it was hard 😂

I did all the time with my daughter we never really bathed her in a baby tub or sink she just always bathed with me. I will warn you though depending on your luck and length of bath be prepared for a poop emergency every now and again. I had a few of those and usually just ended up showering after her dad came to take her and dry her off.

Ive never even owned a baby tub, I just take them in the bath with me. It is good bonding time, too.

I always went in the tub with my babes once their umbilical cord had healed. Before that we did a sponge bath in a little baby tub
