Sometimes. Tender breasts, mood swings, and cravings can happen when you're about to start, as well. If you're worried about it- wait until a week or so past the date you are supposed to start and take a test. You can't always go by "symptoms". My symptoms were conducive to starting my period. After 2 weeks of not having my period but having symptoms of it coming- I tested and it was positive. And that was why I didn't even know I was pregnant lol.
