Becoming a Therapist

I couldn’t figure out where would be the best place to ask this question so I thought maybe this group?

Hopefully someone can help me.

I got my Associates of Applied Science studying Child Development at a local community college, and that was 5 years ago. I’ve deceived I want to go back to school for Psychology and eventually work my way up to being a therapist.

My question is: will I need to retake some prerequisites and apply for the community college again? Or apply to a university?
