Has anyone dealt with ICP? After giving my OB a call Thursday evening with some concerns of severe itching at night with no rash or hives, as well as severe nausea and some vomiting he had me go into LD to be monitored and have some labs ran. The on call dr didn’t seem to concerned and just ran a CBC and LMP bc he just assumed I had having an allergic reaction of sorts. (No changes to anything in the home and this come on very suddenly about 5 nights ago) After all of those labs came back fine and my antihistamine levels were normal he had the blood drawn to check my bile acid levels. They informed me that it could take up to 10 days before they got any results back and gave me a prescription of hydroxyzine (as well as had me take some before it left) to help with the itching. The hydroxyzine is no help whatsoever with the itching and just makes me feel drunk and a few hours after taking it I go into a deep sleep. I’m currently 36+3 and this is my third pregnancy. I had gallbladder issues with my first pregnant, had it removed in 2018. Toward the end of my second pregnancy I had some very mild itching but very intense upper right abdominal pains but I was 38-39 weeks and they didn’t want to perform any tests so we never found a cause for that. Y’all I’m just miserable. I itch so so bad at night and I can’t sleep because of it. I know icp isn’t common but I’m at such a loss as to what this could be and I’m dying for some relief!!
