Recovery time with twins?

My Drs are encouraging vaginal deliver if twins are positioned right. How has your recover been with geting back to feeling normal? I know I'll be exhausted from caring for them, but at far as feeling normal down there pain and stuff? They are instant that it will be quicker then a c-section which is 6 weeks they say vaginal is a few days.

The healing was about the same as my singles 4-6 weeks. I did feel a lot worse for the first two weeks though because I hemorrhaged and had to blood transfusions which delayed my strength afterwards.

I found my vaginal delivery recovery with my twins to be fairly easy. I was sore for about a week and bleed on and off for two weeks or so but aside from that nothing too major. I took Motrin for pain while in the hospital. Things felt pretty "normal" once my stitches dissolved.

With my son, I felt pretty normal a couple days later, I bled for about two weeks but that's normal, since your uterus has to heal from the placenta no longer being attached and filtering blood. My hospital gave me a whole bunch of pads that doubled as ice packs, which are awesome. I didn't even use all of them, but it helps the first few days with the swelling and discomfort. I'm hoping for another vaginal delivery with the twins, just because I have a toddler now, I hope I don't also have to recover from surgery on top of taking care of two newborns and a toddler lol.
