Am I crazy to want a family?

I'm 18 and my SO and I have lived together for the the last 6 months and we have been together almost two years. I desperately want to get married and have children. This need has only gotten worse recently because two of my friends had babies in the last two weeks and it makes me super jealous, which I know is kind of crazy for my age. My SO keeps telling me it's not time to get married or even think about children, he says he isn't ready yet. So am I crazy to want a family at this age or no?

Age isn't the issue, you are an adult and can make the choice to get married and have children. (As long as you can support yourself and your family!) I just turned 21 and I am in my third trimester! You arent crazy at all
But if you SO isn't ready to start that stage in his life, he isn't crazy either.  That choice is a big one and one not to be rushed. 
It leaves you with a choice- wait for him to be ready or find a partner who is at the same point as you. Either one is fine! You are still young :)

I'm 18, living with my SO too. We're engaged and trying for #1. I have PCOS and endometriosis so it's gonna be harder which is why we decided to start trying early. I don't think it's crazy.  
We've already lost one baby in June so we're hoping if we get pregnant this one sticks! I'll be devistated if I loose another. 
3 of my friends have had babies within the last 2 weeks too so I know the feeling. It sucks so much.

Those friends just had babies...give it time and watch how hard it will be for them. Watch closely how their lives change. You'll see in time how much stress and money a new baby takes and it might change your mind. You should be focusing on life, not babies. You're a new adult, go out and live! Travel, pursue a career that will help you get that family you want, go out with friends and experience new things! I am 27, married and have baby #1 on the way and I wouldn't give up the amazing experiences I have had along the way for anything! I had the wedding of my dreams because I wasn't saving money for diapers. Hubs and I have traveled the world because we could pack a backpack and go wherever we wanted whenever we wanted to! I got to experience college and get work experience that allowed me to get into a great career without worrying "how will I pay for daycare?" Trust me, babies can be made at any time, but once you have them you're stuck with them. You will never get back this time of your life, don't waste it just because your friends are having kids.
