Super short naps 😑

First, I know this is normal and that it will pass. But I'm looking for strategies and advice to make it better in the meanwhile.

My 2.5 month old will only sleep for 35 minutes at a time in the crib, then wakes after one sleep cycle and won't go back down.

He'll sleep 2 or 3 hours in a stretch if I hold him, but I have a toddler and a house to manage (and I go back to work in January), so holding him is not a great option.

He HATES being worn-- I've tried 3 different carriers and he screams bloody murder. Definitely won't hang out quietly, much less nap. He hates his swing. He only wants to be held in arms.

So currently he's constantly overtired and crabby. The best compromise I have managed is putting him in the crib for morning and evening naps (so those are 35 minutes or less), and holding him for his midday nap (when the toddler is napping too). So he gets 3-4 short, shitty naps and one long, good one.

Anyone have a better strategy? Thoughts? I'm worn so thin at this point, and so is he.
