My 5 week old has a cows milk protein allergy and was given Elacare formula to help. We tried similac alimentum but that also upset his tummy. He doesn’t eat the formula. He will have an ounce and then chew on the nipple like he doesn’t know how to latch. He cries to have more though so I know it’s not because he is full. He would have 3oz of breastmilk so I would assume he would have 3 of the formula as well.. he is scaring me at this point. The pediatrician said to give it 24 hours but I’m so scared he isn’t going to get used to it. I can’t tell if he is denying it because it tastes bad or if he can’t latch properly anymore I literally don’t know.. has anyone had this experience
