Hi my son is constipated I spotted these red thing in his poo is it blood? I didn’t feed him anything other than his formula milk.

To give you a little ease of mind, if he was bleeding internally it would look like coffee grounds and dark red. That could be blood form tearing maybe. But it nvr hurts to call his doctor.

Looks like bloody mucus from straining to poop. Keep an eye on it and contact his pediatrician.

It could me a little tinge of blood with some mucus. It's pretty common when they are constipated. Don't panic, just keep an eye out and if it happens again you may want to put a call in to the Dr.

My son had this when little. Except his poo was diarrhea with the red mucus. He ended up having salmonella. Have NO clue how he got that. Then he has the blood again months later and had some sort of infection. Cleared up with antibiotics.
