First appointment today (8w2d) and really nervous

I have my first appt today with my OBGYN, and I’m so nervous. I’m at work now but I can’t focus on anything. They said I can bring my fiancé so he’s meeting me there, but he has to wait in the waiting room for the first part of the appt. Is this normal? Why can’t he be there for the whole thing? Of course my biggest fear is that they’ll tell me I’m not pregnant (I haven’t taken a test since I found out and I have imposter syndrome I think), or that I’ve had a silent miscarriage, or something else is wrong. I read by 8w2d the chance of miscarriage is down to 4% but I’m still so nervous.

I was told they’d do a sonogram and possibly order blood work if necessary… I’m worried they’ll do a pap smear also but I’m not due for another till this summer.

Just looking for some advice or help calming down 😅😅😅
