Switching from breastfeeding to bottles

So my exclusively breastfed 9 week old and I have had a horrible breastfeeding experience so far and I mentally can't continue.. I'm ready to give up and I would like him to start on formula asap. I'm thinking I'll start with expressed milk until he is used to the bottles and then switch to formula. My question is, is it possible to do this cold turkey? Like tomorrow, no more boobs? I've tried a few times now with a bottle here and there but he doesn't seem to like it and never drinks more than 2oz.. but I'm thinking if he is hungry enough he will drink and get used to it right? Had anyone had positive experience with this method? Any other suggestions, tips would be appreciated. Thank you!!!
