My baby is very dark, jaundice??

I am white and my baby is very very dark at the moment. More so in his face. I know he has some jaundice but I thought that was suppose to be more yellow? Do babies ususally lighten up as time goes on or could he stay darker? It's not a problem I'm just worried his jaundice isn't getting better. Health visitor is coming tomorrow!

Jaundice is an orange/yellow tinge. My daughters skin was pretty dark when she was first born (my husband is part First Nations) but it is really fair now. So yes it can change

My son looked very orange. Like he just got a terrible fake tan lol. How are the eyes looking? Go with your gut, and if possible get him looked at sooner. Jaundice is no joke and can cause serious issues. My son had it so bad were in the hospital for 2 weeks. He almost needed a blood transfusion because of it.

My husband and I are both very fair, my daughter came out looking like she’d been tanning for the whole 9 months. She’s now a super pale red head. He will likely lighten up
