2nd time around but only one ultrasound?

Question

with my first, i got a 12 week ultrasound and then the 20 week anatomy scan. 
this time around my clinic is only scheduling my 20 week anatomy scan. no 12 week ultrasound.. 
is this normal? my assumption is that they only did the 12 week scan because it was my first and since it was a completely healthy pregnancy and birth they dont need to schedule one this time around? i havent changed insurance or clinics. thoughts?
**edit: also- they arent offering any bloodwork other than the NIPT(thats the one that includes the gender(right?) which isnt covered by my insurance) when i got the genetic bloodwork done with my first pregnancy!

You should ask. My first ultrasound at 9 weeks was to confirm the pregnancy. They should want to confirm along with due date before waiting until 20 weeks

That is very strange And I would ask! I had one at 5w & 8w. I have one scheduled for next week (almost 12w) again at 20 and then he said around 30-33w would be my last one. NIPT next week as well!

That is weird, the 12 week scan is used to measure Nuchal Translucency (NT), which can be an indicator for Down syndrome.  The NIPT will also measure risk for Down Syndrome, but it is uncommon for a provider to rely solely on the NIPT.  
In California, the state mandates providers offer certain screenings including the NT scan. Mamas can always opt out of scans, but if you want additional screening or to inform whether you want to terminate because of an atypical genetic profile, the NT scan is usually the first step. So, I would ask. 
But, if you live in a more conservative state, they might not believe in your right to terminate for any reason and so offering scans that help inform your decision are probably not required.

That does seem weird. I had one at 8 weeks and have my next scheduled at 12 weeks when we will also be doing the NIPT then.

That seems weird. I had one at 8 and 12 l, then 20 and then my doctors office got an in office scanner so we saw the baby often.
I just had my 10 week visit for my dating scan and then they told me I’d have another at 16, then 20 and possibly another down the road. They will do blood work at my 16 week visit including the nipt though I didn’t have this with my first.
