Is this rude what my midwife said?
I had my first midwife visit after my baby was born and she made a comment about my breasts.
Personally I don't feel like it was intended to be rude but my partner thinks it was.
She weighed baby etc and gave him the prick foot test. He cried so she said to put him on my boob.
Well I put him on my boob how I ususally do and put a pillow underneath him.. Then she grabbed the pillow and said "let me stop you there. Your boobs aren't that high up they are facing downwards. You don't need a pillow".
At first I didn't think anything of it because she's probably just trying to help. Although my partner thinks she was rude the way she said it. The only thing that pissed me off was the fact I thought I was doing great. But clearly not to her lol...
My baby gets enough wet and dirty nappies, he has gained weight perfectly. Clearly the way I feed isn't a issue. Maybe not ideal in the midwife world but his doing great.
