I’m not personally big on jewelry, but I don’t have any reaction to what people choose for themselves. I have a fairly minimalist style when it comes to jewelry. My husband has gifted me a few nice sets of earrings and I have some nice watches but wear an Apple Watch for everyday. I do appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into fine jewelry but I am very picky on my personal style.
I definitely don’t think of costume jewelry as tacky or anything.. it’s just not my style to wear very much or very trendy things so the things I wear tend to be good quality and purchase to last.

I only wear white gold pieces because I have sensitive skin and don’t like the way costume jewelry tarnishes over time.
