I'm a teacher so I was off last week, this week, and part of next week.

I run a specialist service and this is the only time of year I can close operations - because my buyers are all on leave - so I take 3 weeks every year. I would actually prefer it if I could take my holidays when I want to instead of taking them at Christmas. But my husband can also take 2 weeks off at this time so it works OK.

My work is closed from December 24-Jan 2. Unpaid though 🙄. My SO is closed the same days, but he gets holiday pay
