Husband/spouse stuck on a name?

Question

Has your husband/spouse ever been so stuck on a particular name that they refuse to even discuss any other name? I want to talk to my husband about other names but he is completely shut down to anything else. It takes the fun out of picking names. I’m ok with the name he won’t budge from.. but want to at least talk about other names so I can be completely sure but he is completely numb to even discussing any other name. Just feeling bummed about it I guess.

My husband was. He told me the name he was dead set on when we started dating in high school. It's 10 years later and I still can't get completely on board with the name. 
A couple months ago, I finally just straight up told him I will never name our son that and we need to figure out a new name. He finally came up with a list and we got to talking and compromised on a name I have always loved, and is actually pretty close to the name he was set on.
Still battling infertility, but I wanted to start working toward a new name before I'm pregnant and then we have a clock ticking.

Mine was stuck and adamant on naming our kid (if it were a boy, gender is pending) Joseph Grady after his dad who passed about 12 years ago. I liked the name Joseph but I just wasn't about the Grady part. I tried to suggest other names but this was something he decided long before we got pregnant. Then my dad brought up the idea to use his name before we had told him what we wanted to name it (if it were a boy). My dad's name is Tommy Keith. I laughed it off and then told my husband later, as a joke, and it got him to thinking that Joseph Keith was much better sounding and I actually like that so it's what we're going with for our boy name.

He’s not naming the baby by himself. Idk about how it is where you live, but I was the one who ultimately named our baby at the hospital (legally speaking). Don’t budge and give him the sole power over this decision. I’d let him know I’ll pick something else by myself if he won’t cooperate in coming up with something together.

You can pull the whole “I’ll be filling out forms/Mothers are only allowed fill out forms” and maybe then he’ll be willing to listen to what you’re throwing out there. Sucks that you would even have to pretend that that’s a thing or that you would do it but he needs to take you into consideration. I think it’s jacked that he doesn’t wanna listen, like you both made the baby, YOU’RE carrying it and he doesn’t think your opinion matters?? Tf!?!!!
