What do I do please?

Question

My LO hasn’t been taking anything but milk. He will eat 2 bites of food and then he wants his milk. I was advice to stop the milk altogether and see what happens. I haven’t given him milk today and he hasn’t eating all the food I offered! What do I do? I am worried he will not be able to sleep like this, I am frustrated with the milk thing. I want a way out.

My LO has never been a good eater and would exclusively drink milk if we let him.  We limit to two cups a day to make sure he's getting a balanced diet.  He's teething his 2-year-old molars right now, so we've been a little bit more lenient with the milk.  I would limit and just try to introduce new/safe foods.  It may take him a few days to get hungry enough to take the solids, but you don't want to risk him not getting the nutrients he needs by only drinking milk at this age.

I have the opposite problem. I’ve had a very hard time weaning my daughter from nursing since she’s not interested in milk. I have her down to twice a day, but her pediatrician is worried about her weight. She eats real food with no issues so we give her cheese and yogurt and keep trying on milk. She’d rather have water though.

Try to always feed him foods that he likes and have tried before but at the same time introduce something new all the time. Try easy foods, with colors, and fun textures! Kids loves eating in colors. It’s extremely important to be super extra patient with food and give them time. It’s ok if he doesn’t eat for a day. He will eventually eat, keep on offering the food. Be patient and do not force him to eat. Forcing sometimes makes it worse, give him space.

Does he typically est food fine? Could he be cutting his 2 year molars? My daughter wont eat much when teething. 
Is he getting sick?
