Traveling
Hey guys. I’m struggling really bad. My partner and I went to CO last week, since I got there I suffered from not breathing. I ended up in the ER while I was there because my chest felt like it was closing in, it was tight short of breath, couldn’t take a deep breath, basically struggling to breath. I never experienced this as I’ve been to CO before a few times. It felt as if I was suffocating is the best way to describe it. I had a tele put on, they did an EKG, ran labs, vitals and x ray. Everything looked good. I’ve had issues with my HR at home jumping to 180s and palpitations so he told me when I got back home to see a cardiologist. But other then that he said it was from the elevation. Denver is 5 altitude but the town we were staying in was 11, Leadville. So he said I’m struggling breathing due to altitude sickness and high elevation. Okay perfect makes sense. We got home 3 nights ago and it hasn’t let up at all. I thought for sure once we got down to a lower elevation it would start feeling better and I could breath again and that’s not happening at all! I’m suffering I can’t take breaths. I can’t clean my home, can’t take care of my 2 year old it’s knocking me on my ass. I am. Starting to go crazy, I’ve had 3 full blown panic attacks to where I’ve had to take anxiety meds to put me to sleep. I am in the process of getting my health insurance approved so at the moment I don’t have insurance. I need to see s doctor but I legit can’t. I know the ER won’t do anymore then they did back in CO.
So my question to everyone is, has this happened to you guys once you traveled to a higher elevation? I don’t know at this point if my body just needs more time to adjust back to normal or if I have lung or heart issues. I’m getting so nervous. I’m only 24, 3 kids I don’t know what’s going on 😭
