Fertility Struggles

Kaitlyn

Hello! My name is Kaitlyn, im 18 and im trying to conceive. Me and my fiancé both lost our parents at young ages which in turn has forced us to grow up faster than others our age. We have lived together for almost 3 years and have been in a relationship for almost 5. We have been trying to conceive for almost a year now. So far we have been unsuccessful; infertility is not a trait that runs in my family, in fact my family is very reproductive. We were so excited to start a new family since our old one was taken from us and we planned ahead, we bought packs and packs of organic sensitive skin diapers, wipes, a crib, a stroller, bottles, the whole nine yards and we even painted the nursery a gender neutral color as well as completely setting up the inside of the nursery. Then I started taking prenatal supplements to prepare my body for pregnancy. My partner is not taking any supplements. Outside of that I suffer from R.A.D (Reactive Attachment Disorder) <— It’s not serious it’s like mild ADHD or mild OCD. Anyways I use prescribed medicinal cannabis to help me manage my mental condition. My fiancé is also prescribed and uses medicinal marijuana due to him having anorexia. If I were to become pregnant than I would stop using medicinal unless it’s organic edibles. We both know the infertility side effects of cannabis however our doctor said that it shouldn’t make us completely infertile; we even went off our cannabis medication for 6 months and tried to conceive during that time period but nothing works. I’ve even been tracking my ovulation and fertile window with ovulations tests and apps that tract my periods and ovulation. Nothing works, this week I bought some vitamins I thought might help. I’m now taking Thyroid support, prenatal gummies, folic acid, and Omega-3; after a few months we’ll see if it paid off but if I’m still not pregnant after trying all this then what can I do to increase my chances of conceiving? Unfortunately IVF, surrogates, adoption, and professional medical fertility aid are unavailable to us as that can cost tens of thousands of dollars and while we are financially stable and quite comfortable and privileged but we aren’t that privileged that we can drop that much just like that. My goal is to be able to conceive using vitamins and natural aids. Any KIND advise is more than welcome!!
