How do you plan to move on from formula/breastfeeding and onto cows milk?

When she decides to wean… I’m continuing breastfeeding till she’s ready to stop. She’s my first successful breastfed baby number 4 my other 3 boy’s only last for a month… not my choice. But I’m going to breastfeed her till she’s 2 ♥️ I’m a Stay at home mom.

My first didn’t seem to mind switching to milk and would go between milk and formula no problem. We kept him on some formula until he was 15 months because we were going to Cuba and wanted to bring some formula for him. My milk supply dried up at 10 months with him and he started taking bottles from birth so he easily drank bottles of milk at 1. My little guy now is almost 11 months and EBF. He doesn’t take bottles very well so I plan to give him straw sippy cup with milk/formula mix until he’s used to the milk and I’ll still breast feed him morning and night. Possibly around 4 when I’m done work as well if he seems like he needs it.

I had to mix it with my 1st baby as he didn't like it when I gave him a full cup so will do the same again

I also had to mix it with breastmilk at first to get my olderchild to drink it, but it didn't take her long to accept it. I continued breastfeeding her but transitioned away from pumping and instead she got cows milk when I was at work, etc. Plan to do the same with 10 month old soon!

I’ll give my baby almond milk at 1 . I’ll breastfeed up to two years or until she shows signs that she’s ready to wean. Whatever comes first. Almond milk has more calcium than milk but less protein and fat so I do more salmon , avocado and other foods with healthy fats.

With my son who is older I just gradually cut out 1 feed at a time and upped his water and food intake. I kept his night time breastfeed going until he was 22 months and then just replaced this with cows milk. He’s now 3 and still has a small cup of cows milk and an apple while reading his bedtime stories every night. I’ll probably do similar with my daughter but not sure Id go the full 22 months again, it will depend on what she wants- my son really didn’t want to let it go.
