Was the air bnb host wrong? TW addiction

Bee

I was scrolling through Tik Tok and I saw a lady put a bottle of champagne and a bottle of cider in the refrigerator at one of her air bnb properties. She put them there as a gift for her guests who were staying that night on NYE.

A lot of people in the comments were upset that she left alcohol because she doesn’t know her guests personally and she doesn’t know if they’re struggling with addiction or going through recovery. They explained that not everyone handles addiction the same and that some people can’t be around alcohol at all. Others were saying that no one else is responsible for your addiction and that you might as well just avoid restaurants, hotels that have bars and other places entirely if you feel what she did was wrong. (What I got from that is they were trying to say that alcohol is pretty much everywhere I guess.)

The lady made a video in response to the comments explaining that it’s no different than a mini bar in a hotel room and that she also left cider for people who do not drink.

What do you think? Was it appropriate for the host to leave a bottle of champagne for her guests or was she wrong for doing so?
