Smell postpartum

I'm just wondering if anyone else had a smell down there after giving birth?

I'm 10 weeks PP, and for about 10 days it literally smells like fish down there but ONLY when I'm washing there with soap in the shower.

There is no smell at any other time.

I contacted my doctor, and he said to get vaginal ovules, but I've read those aren't the safest when breastfeeding, and I know I sound crazy, but I don't think I have an infection.

Is it because I'm basically sitting in the same spot all day with the baby and breastfeeding so not getting any air down there?

There's no discharge. No itching and no smell except when I shower.
