Opinions wanted

We are starting baby's nursery! Finally getting rid of the baby blue that was there when we moved in lol. I am conflicted though about paint colors in a couple of areas of her room. She has a built in dresser where the previous owners painted the backplate to match the wall, along with the closet door. I dont like the way this looks...

My question is should I paint these areas white? Or should I go with a different color for trim and these areas? For reference, we are using this shade of gray, unusual gray from sw, for the walls (not my photo).
