Travel with COVID surge

La

We have a trip to cabo planned for next week and of course omicron is having its moment 😓 we cancelled this same trip last year due to the pandemic and I’d really like to avoid doing that again. But not going to lie, I’m nervous and second guessing the trip with my two little ones (April baby and 3 year old). My 3 year old son has autism and has a mask exemption and my daughter obv can’t wear one (though she is breastfed and I’m vaccinated and boosted) but they wouldn’t have protection at the airport and such. My family has a house rented so not as worried about it once we are there, but the airport crowds make me nervous. Doesn’t help that my family has the view that “COVID is just something we have to live with” and are borderline antimaskers (but vaccinated). If we were to cancel, the thought of telling them is not fun for me because they won’t understand.

Anyways - end of novel - what would you do? Are you still traveling with your kids right now?
