Does anyone know if it's safe to fly✈ 4 hours to another state in your second Trimester?

Hi I'm about 20 weeks and I'm in California and I'm about to fly to Texas in 2 days.. Just curious if anyone knows if it's safe to fly in your second trimester or during pregnancy at all. Im not having any pregnancy complications but, I did have 2 miscarriages before this healthy pregnancy which only lasted to about 7 or 8 weeks. I'm 20 weeks now. I tried getting a hold of my OBGYN but, shes busy and the office is closed.. Does anybody know or have experience traveling by plane and delivering a healthy baby????...

My doctor advised to wear compression socks and move around if you can. Hydrate and relax :)

Just got back in California from Travel/baby moon in hawaii (5hr flight). My doctor said totally fine to travel within 2nd trimester. I was 20weeks when we went to hawaii and exactly 22weeks when we came back. Just try to stand up and stretch from time to time in the plane to promote blood flow. For as long as you don’t have any complications on your current pregnancy, I’ll say it’s a go go :) have fun!!

I flew 6 hours at 20 weeks with my first it was fine. Just get up and move around as much as you can. I will say my dr didn’t allow me to fly back at 28 weeks when my grandma passed away, which was so hard on me but I totally understood why.

I’m flying in about 3-4 weeks I will be 26-27 weeks. Dr said it’s totally fine! Flight is about 4 hours she just told me to get up and walk when I can to prevent blood clots.

Totally safe. Just move your body and legs so you don't forget clots. I have flown with three out of four pregnancies and been fine.  I'd say be careful with the weight of your luggage and if you have someone with you have them lift the heavy stuff for you

I know they say it's fine. You are still a decent time away from due date that's the only reason Doctors recommend against it when people fly close to their due date cause no one wants to go into labor in the air.

I did a 4ish hour flight around 28 weeks last time and was totally fine, planning to do the same next month!

I just flew 4 hours and then had my ultrasound the day after, everything looks good! My Dr. wasn't worried about it all as long as blood pressure and everything else looked good.

Yes just get up to move around and do leg movements, drink plenty and eat! I will say I did faint on a flight from NY to Salt Lake City in my second trimester with my first, it was not a great experience 😆 I was feeling funny so I thought I’d just been sitting too long so I got up to go to the bathroom, I was waiting and I started going down - a flight attendant caught me! I was fine on the flight home.
