Should I change my babies name?

Hi everyone,
I called my little girl Lyra all pregnancy. Announced it. Didn’t like the way it sounded and then changed it before the birth certificate to Freya thinking it would make the anxiety better.
Now I feel like I have made a huge mistake. I am 2 months into motherhood and now want to change it back to Lyra.
Freya just doesn’t feel like her name. I am so anxious at the moment as half of the world knows one name and half the other.
What should I do? Change it back or keep it as Freya?
I keep calling her Freya/Lyra at the moment and my head feels so muddled.
I don’t know how to make it better so I can enjoy her as a baby. I feel as though I am wasting it.

If today you filled out and submitted all the paperwork to change it to Lyra, and  then woke up tomorrow… would you feel relief? Satisfaction? Or continued doubt and worry, just in the opposite direction?

Whichever name feels right. But don't change it too many times. Can you make her middle name Freya so that her name is Lyra Freya and she can go by either?

Both are pretty. You can’t go wrong with either. But choose the name you really love and you feel fits her. She’s still super young so it won’t be too much to change her name. You can always re-announce whatever name you decide.

Derived from the name Freyja, it means “a noble woman.” It is the name of the Norse goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. ... Freya was also ruler over the meadow where she received slain heroes of the battlefield. The mythological roots of this Nordic name are still evident today. Maybe combine both names as freya Lyra. I’m sure what ever you choose will suit her. Congrats mama!

If she doesn’t have a middle name can you add Lyra as her middle name? With my first, her name was changed at the end as well, while I love her name part of me will always feel like the other name is her true name, so I get how it feels. We had another daughter and I couldn’t bring myself to name her, her sister’s original name, I’m pregnant again and we talked about using it but I’m unsure (we also don’t know the gender so it’s all hypothetical at this point), also Freya is our top contender as it’s a beautiful name.
