How is toddler adjusting?

Second time moms, how is your toddler adjusting? My first is 26 months and she’s been having some sleep regression and has been more defiant. It could also just be the age. I had no idea but seeing my toddler struggle has been the hardest part of having a newborn so far, it breaks my heart and I miss her like crazy. I’m 11 days pp.

Same. Definitely the hardest part of being a mom of 2 so far. My girl is the same age and has been waking in the night, hysterical for me and wants nothing to do with dad. It’s been pretty tricky, just gotta keep trying our best 🤷🏼‍♀️

Our boy will be 3 in April and we’ve definitely seen a little bit of a change in him. While he’s been super sweet with the baby, he is pushing the limits more and definitely showing more attention seeking behaviors which was to be expected. We’re just making sure to verbally explain things to him and tell him we’re still here for him too etc along with making sure we take time to have just one on one time with him. Things have gotten a bit better now in week 3 so hopefully with consistency things will go back to normal. Think he just needed to know we were still here for him and needed to adjust to us not being able to jump for him every time he wants something immediately. Best of luck to you. 😊

Yes this!! This happened with my first two also and now my second and third. It is the hardest thing to watch and give enough attention to all especially when energy is low and you don’t have anything left. I cry some days just thinking that there isn’t enough of me to go around. They figure it out but in the meantime it’s not easy

I have 2 and half year old. She adjusted pretty fast with having baby around. She will ask me to put baby down so we can play and sometimes I can do that and sometimes I can’t. I try to make as much time to play with her and she is also pushing the limits on some of her behavior. 
I think this is one of the hardest part so far. On dads day off we make sure to take her out for some fun. Focus our attention on her and distract her to get her out of the house since we pulled her out of daycare to. I also had some issues with her sleeping at night. I had to take away nap time during the day for her to sleep through the night. She wake up around 7am and is asleep by 9pm which allows me to focus on the baby at night but the first 2 weeks she was up at 2am, 3am. I had to 2 crying babies. Lol I just cried with them 😪😂.
Honestly I think learning to adjust is what will gets us through the next year or so.
