Tips for traveling with baby?

My son will be 3 months on the 19th and we’re traveling to Florida. It’ll only be a 2 hour flight but I’m incredibly nervous for this whole situation since I’ll be with him alone. Any tips for traveling with a teeny baby on the plane and in the airport?

Check you bags except one item (I always use a backpack) with a change of clothes for each of you, my wallet and phone, a few small toys, and 2 bottles. Gate check the stroller, bring the infant seat on board for the flight. You will be able to board early to get the car seat strapped in. It’s nicer having your hands free and much safer for the baby should there be any sort of crash or sudden movement. Give a bottle during takeoff and landing to equalize ear pressure. I played white noise for my guy and he seemed to like it. He often just fell asleep as we were taking off from having a bottle and the rumbling. I also chose flights that lined up with nap or bed time. Good luck!

I had all my son food and bottles with formula in his diaper bag  I had to check in my car seat and stroller cause I had him on my lap he slept most of the flight and all I had to do was change him and feed him I did that right in the seat while he was on my lap

In this scenario, you would have to buy an extra seat for the car seat. Otherwise, you will check the car seat at the gate and hold the baby during the flight.

Assuming you have a travel system, it’s super easy. Have baby in infant car seat and use the stroller throughout the airport then gate check it. Pre-board so you have a few extra minutes to get your carryon bag stowed above and at least start buckling the car seat in. If you’re checking your bag, you can use those couple extra minutes to get yourself situated and get bottle prepped for takeoff if baby takes one. 
Don’t forget to pack a change of clothes for both you and baby in the diaper bag (and any medications baby may need in a freezer bag for easy access).
