I’m am just now trying to learn about bbt and I have seen so many adds for bbt thermometers. Can I use my regular thermometer?

It depends how precise your regular thermometer is. It needs to measure to 2 decimal places, because the change in temperature indicating ovulation is often quite small and you wouldn’t necessarily be able to discern a pattern if you’re only measuring to one decimal.
