I had thrombocytopenia (low platelets) before pregnancy but pretty asymptotic about it. My last blood test showed my number dropped to 79. It’s normally in the 90’s range.

Lately my lips have been bleeding a lot more easily. They have been dry this whole pregnancy, but right now they’re not that bad. I wasn’t doing anything with my lips (no biting, brushing or eating) and they randomly started bleeding. A few days ago they started bleeding right after I finished brushing my teeth and it was so bad I had to hold a small towel in my mouth for about 5 minutes to get the bleeding to stop.

Has anybody else experienced this? I have an appointment with my hematologist in a few weeks, but I’m thinking I might request another CBC done sooner. My last one was roughly 3 weeks ago.
