How many ounces formula per day?

Question

For formula-fed babies, how many ounces do they need at 8-9 months? Our babe has really declined his daily intake and it’s a struggle to get it in him but solids (purées) he’ll gobble up. Our doc told us 24oz daily at our last appt 2 months ago and the internet has conflicting information. I’m just interested in total ounces your docs are directed you to feed each day. Our guy has always been underweight so I’m worried about nutrition intake.

My boy is on four bottles that are 180ml (6oz). One in the morning, one midday, one before bed, and then dreamfeed at 10pm.
I’m not ready to drop the dreamfeed yet because he sleeps in and I don’t want to wake up early haha but will eventually drop the bottle next.
He doesn’t always finish them all sometimes he only drinks 150mls. 
He is also on three meals and a snack.

Anywhere from 20-40oz, but if he eats purées you should be doing 3 meals and snacks of that so he’ll get lots of nutrition from that ! They’ll vary from day to day
