When do toddlers learn to use a spoon?

When should I start training my toddler to use a spoon? My son is 17 months old and he has no interest in using a spoon to eat😩. He uses his hands.

Offer it every time. Have it near him. My 18 month old uses it rarely. He usually starts off with it and then quickly gets frustrating. My 3 year old uses it consistently.

You can give them spoon from the beginning. It takes time to learn to use it nicely anyway.
My 15 mo old can hold a spoon and put it in his mouth perfectly. But I don't know why, he just won't take food from plate onto the spoon himself. More practice time is needed I think...

Just depends on the kid and when they want to. My oldest wanted spoons early and used them consistently from about 14 months. My nephew didn't use them consistently until like 3 and by choice until like 4.
