Tattoo ideas?

I want to get something tattooed on my wrists. But I don't know what. All I know is I want it to be related to my parents. Any ideas?

What came to my mind was A rose and the stem would be the years of them both. And a quote beside it (somewhere next to it, wherever you choose) 
Have you seen a tattoo where there’s a rose and rose STEM is a name or quote or a life line ?     Yeah , that’s what I’m referring to but instead , it’ll be the years. 
Maybe their sunrise and sunset.. 
I’ll try to draw an example so you can see what i mean ; IF you like my idea so far

I think getting their birth flowers tattooed would be meaningful while also simple and beautiful. I’m in a position where I see a lot of tattoos that people get and the mistakes that come with them. Your wrist skin is a thin spot for a tattoo, so try not to get anything too small as the ink will spread over time and this can lead to the design looking kind of like a booger. If it’s words or a date, it might look good at first but again, if you get it small it will spread and not look as nice later on.
