Who is on meds?

I'm just wondering for those of you who are on meds what your numbers were previously to being put on meds? My numbers are okay diet controlled, but if I eat close to the carb limit or any over my body can't handle it. I take my fasting & 2 hours after I start eating. My goal is supposed to be under 90 fasting and under 120 2 hours post meal

Learn which carbs you can handle not all carbs are created equal like natures own wheat bread, peas, bananas, ramen noodles, honey roasted peanut butter, sweet potatoes   don't really effect my sugar but carrots, popcorn, white bread, rice, pasta, white potatoes, pasta sky rocket it... I found out I was type 2 diabetic a few weeks before getting pregnant and mine was controlled with diet and metformin but my dr's thought my hormones would mess it up and put me on 2 different kinds of insulin morning and night (4 shots a day minimum) and a sliding scale during the day if it's too high

2-3 in a row at same time of day that aren't explainable.  For me eating enough carbs is essential for babies (twins) to get enough nutrients.  GD isn't about carb restricting, it's about balancing carbs, protein, and fat. I started with my fasting number and have supper/dinner time insulin, but that's because I really need to eat at least 45g of carbs for dinner to meet my needs. I could carb restrict for dinner and be fine.  I like to have the flexibility to get what I need.

I saw carb limiting because my diet previously was very carb heavy haha. I love carbs. but the numbers my Dr gave me were 30 in morning, 45 for lunch & 45-60 for dinner. but if I try for 45 or any over, I seem to have a problem.
