Positive result then negative in the afternoon. Please how could that be ?

False positives are very rare. The pregnancy hormone is more concentrated first thing in the morning, which is why they recommend taking test on first morning urine (FMU) for accurate results. In the afternoon it is more dilute, so less hormone available. That might be why you got a negative later on xx

Clear blue is bad for false positives, something about the blue dye. Retest with first response pink/red dye :)
