Just want to talk this through-bedtime

Michelle

Okay. So. I’ve posted about this several times, but I think a bedtime routine change might be in the very near future. To recap😂: My 18 month old has been a pretty average sleeper. One of the best I’ve had, for sure. At current, here is what our days/nights look like as far as sleep is concerned:

Usually wakes around 7/ 7:30. Sometimes, if she has a rough night, it’s 8. Naptime is usually anywhere from 11/12-2. Usually 1.5 hours. Then bedtime routine starts at 7. Bath, pajama/lotion/say goodnight, then I turn the lights off and cuddle with her while she drinks her bottle and falls asleep. We’ve done this her whole life. Only lately she’s been super wiggly during her bottle, and last night, she didn’t even fall asleep with it. She was still wide awake. So I put her in her crib and comforted her until she fell asleep. Should I use this as an opportunity to change the last part of her routine, and transition away from the bottle? I know it’s not good for her teeth to drink milk and go to bed without brushing them. What does “that part” of your routine look like? Is this going to suck royally?? 😂Ahhhh tips appreciated.
