Heart palpitations?

Hi all I’m currently 22weeks pregnant and for the past few days it feels like my heart will all of a sudden beat really hard and then go back to normal. It happens pretty frequently, do I need to go to the ER or is this normal through pregnancy?

I have that & ended up being diagnosed with SVT. My OB referred me to a cardiologist who put me on some meds to help control it. My palpitations got bad enough that I would pass out. It wouldn’t hurt to talk to your dr about it.

I had this all the time with my last pregnancy! I would just sit down and wait for it to pass.

I get these! And a racing heart out of nowhere! Tends to be when I’m trying to rest too which drives me crazy

This is pretty common in pregnancy due to increased blood volume. I have it when I’m not pregnant as well. Only time I’d go to the ER is if it’s accompanied by prolonged chest pain or difficulty in breathing for no other reason. Bring it up to your regular OB at your next appointment for reassurance.

Yes! I have palpitations occasionally when I am not pregnant but with every pregnancy I tend to get them more. Like a handful of times a day. I assumed extra blood flow.
