Do you make your lo's birthday cake?

My husband thinks it should be homemade, I think he forgets who he's married sometimes. Never baked a cake in my life.....brownies that come in a box and require veg oil is my domain. Is this an English thing, or, what?

Yes i really try lol sometimes i buy store bought. I struggle with paying $20 for cake that lasts 30 seconds lol the box and ingredients is cheaper none of them are perfect.by.any means :)

I make my husband his favorite almost every year. Hershey's towns cake w cream cheese icing and raspberry filling😜

I've done all the above as long as you did something to celebrate with him I feel like that's good it don't have to be homemade some people just cant cook, don't have the time, or don't have any decorating skills and still want the cake to be perfect.

my mum used to either buy a cake or a packet or home made if she had time and then go all out with the decorations. we loved our home made cakes! you can get plenty of recipes or design ideas from Pinterest, I'm sure whatever you do will be special. and if your man is that worried, get him to make it himself! 😝

Yes, but I make watermelon cake! It's a cake made entirely of fruit (watermelon is the base) and my daughter absolutely loves it.

This year I bought a cake, last year errr bought ice cream cake and the year before that I made cupcakes myself. It's really just whatever works best for you at the time!

My husband was raised jahovas witness and never had birthdays etc until I came along, he hates how excited I get for holidays and birthdays so it's really hard to make him happy. Homemade cake or not. 😞🎈

I always buy cupcake cakes from publix and take them to my daughters school at lunch time, it's cheaper then throwing a party and I don't have to do any cooking.
