Were you able to get an epidural during the pandemic?

Sorry if this doesn't belong here! I'm just looking to ask women who gave birth over the past few months—if you wanted an epidural, were you able to get one? 
Last time I gave birth it took almost 2 hours after calling for an epidural to actually get one, and that was pre-pandemic, pre-staffing shortages, etc. I'm terrified that I'll want/need one and won't be able to get one because there just aren't enough anesthesiologists/supplies 😖

Yes. The nurses has the request put in before i was even officially admitted to the hospital.

I had no issues at all, it was exactly the same epidural experience as my pre-pandemic baby

I recently gave birth in Nov & I got one with no problems. If you’re thinking of getting one make sure you mention it early in. They have to start you in fluids 30 mins before calling anesthesia to place the epidural.

I had my son last year and I had no problem. But that’s here in Australia so not sure if things are much different? Also we have midwives in our hospitals so they may do things a little different

I had my son in May 2020 and I asked for the epidural and the anesthesiologist was there in 5 minutes.

Last birth was July 2020 and yes I got an epidural. Pregnant again now and def plan on an epidural again

They did offer it to me and yes I would've been able to if I wanted it.

Yes. I was able to get mine just fine but they sure did drag their feet with calling the anesthesiologist. I was screaming for an epidural but they wouldn’t call him until I signed the consent form that they refused to give me because they were more concerned with how to spell my husband’s name.

Yes, and I didn't want one for the first 14 hours of labor until my doctor convinced me that my blood pressure was too high and it was dangerous to not have one.  No issues getting the anesthesiologist in or anything.  I gave birth in California.
