Goodbye…
Today has been a very hard day. At around midnight, I got a phone call from my surrogate who was carrying our twin girls, due May 8th. She was 24 weeks and 1 day pregnant.
She told us that she was bleeding and felt her water broke. We rushed to the hospital with her. They did an ultrasound and one of the babies (Baby B) had stopped breathing. They rushed her to emergency c- section and delivered both babies
Olivia Charlotte (Baby A) was born at 4:17 am weighing 1 pound 7 ounces
Amelia Florence (Baby B) was born sleeping, at 4:23 am, weighing 1 pound 2 ounces.
Olivia gave a great fight and survived for almost 12 hours, passing away at 3:19 pm.
My surrogate suffered from placenta abruption, which caused excessive bleeding and blocked the baby’s oxygen supply.
Good luck to everyone else in their journey 💜
